For Fall/Winter 2025, ALAINPAUL steps into a space where fashion becomes performance and the body becomes architecture. The campaign, titled Performer, unfolds through the daring lens of German artist Isabelle Wenzel, whose practice has long balanced on the line between photography and physical expression.
In Performer, ALAINPAUL invites us to see clothing not as static design but as choreography. Each frame of Wenzel’s campaign, styled by Vanessa Reid, is a performance in miniature: the body sculpting space, the fabric capturing motion, the image holding the moment before it slips away. It is fashion as resistance, as expression, as art in motion. Wenzel is not a passive observer. Draped in ALAINPAUL’s latest collection, she captures fabric into a living extension of the body, each pose capturing the fragility and defiance that sit at the heart of the season.
The dialogue between artist and designer feels inevitable. Alain Paul, the creative force behind the label, is known for his architectural silhouettes and his ability to blend precision tailoring with a sense of movement. His distinctive vision has already been recognized at the highest levels of the industry: he is a past recipient of the prestigious ANDAM Special Prize and a nominee for the LVMH Prize. These accolades mark him as one of the most compelling new designers as he approaches clothing as more than a garment—it is a structure, a sculpture, and a second skin.
