For two crazy days of music, meetings and extraordinary exchanges; We Love Green Festical upholded eco-friendly commitments which underlie the festival’s beliefs while hosting more than sixty artists including Migos, Tyler The Creator, Jamie XX, King Krule, Dixon, and Nina Kraviz to name a few kicking off the festival season. We Love Green is one of the leaders in independent festivals along with being powered entirely by renewable energy, using solar panels and generators that run on recycled cooking oil. Plus, 100% of waste is sorted for recycling, reuse or compost.

Set right outside of Paris in the lush (not to mention posh) Bois de Vincennes, four stages make up the no-footprint festival in the woods: The Prairie open-air stage (main stage), feet on the grass, head under the sun, The Clairière tent (immersive live stage), The Canopé for the new generation of talents, and The Lalaland Club, entirely designed for the dancefloor addicts. This year also welcomed campers and had some cute glamping cabins great for those popping over from abroad. For those of you wanting a taste of French music which made up a good quarter of the festival here are THREE FRENCH MUSCIANS TO WATCH!

CHATON
Months ago, we introduced Simon, known now as CHATON. Since first meeting in the basement of a Parisian hotel the French singer has been touring all over France and Canada. And it was only logical to catch our favourite hairy kitten at the We Love Green festival. On stage, CHATON offered an electronic set alongside his auto-tune songs. It’s an experience that was clearly one of our favourite moments Saturday night. His debut album Possible is out via Arista France.

Lewis OfMan
French producer Lewis OfMan was discovered a few years ago with his song ‘Un amour au Super U”. Since then, he has produced several tracks for Rejjie Snow’s latest record and is planning to release is own LP around 2019. His set during the festival was a very chill-out moment, perfect for the summer! His new tringle “Je pense à toi” is out, so check it out!

Lolo Zouai
Maybe we found our new RnB diva? Lolo Zouai is based in New York but has a real attachment with France as she mixes both English and French in her songs. She really knows how to deal with the stage and her songs are probably as good as classic Aaliyah tunes.
