The go-green festival We Love Green took place last month and we just got our photos back. This year, the organization took another challenge by taking the festival to a more ecological atmosphere and bringing some news comers of the actual music industry. The line-up was pretty massive as in the front row, we got Justice, Solange, Moderat, Abra, Action Bronson, Perfume Genius or Flying Lotus. But the others bands during this week-end, well-known or not completely charmed us such as Petit Fantôme. Especially some new French talent that you need to discover! Here some of our favorite French bands we caught live at the We Love Green festival.

FIVE FRENCH MUSICIANS TO CHECK OUT

Pépite

This was the first band we saw on stage and was a good way to start this week-end. The two guys were colourful and bringing some yéyé- psychedelic pop songs. Their new single Sensation is out now and their brand new EP will come up in September!

L’Impératrice

L’impératrice is a band first of all. Even if many vocals are from the front-girl of the group. We just had the time to watch their set for 15 minutes but it’s clearly magical. They have this power to bring you in another dimension with their funny électro-pop songs. Perfect for the beautiful weather of that day. Hope to catch them longer next time to really enjoy their universe.

Agar Agar

May be one of the best live acts of the festival. Their venue was full and even if they got some sound problems this band is fucking brilliant. Their dark electronic songs were awesome and catchy. Go check their song Higher and you will understand that they have something special. We don’t know why but Agar Agar is one of the best things to come out of We Love Green.

Jok’Air

As all rappers, Jok’Air made the job. On the stage with his DJ and some guests, he literally turned up the festival even if it was early (2pm). But we don’t mind, he made her twerk and said some silly words with his trash and amazing rap songs! His new mixtape “Je suis Big Daddy” is out out on Arista / Sony.

LOST

Lost is the new project of French singer Camélia Jordana. When we saw her and her band, we did not know so much about this project but it was surprising to see how peaceful and sincere it was. Their first EP is coming out in September and in the meantime you can check their cool videos.
