Conceived and created in 1991, the annual Lollapalooza music festival became one of the most prosperous worldwide event during summers. It was quite normal that they decided in 2017 to set up a French edition in Paris. This year, the Lollapalooza Paris came back with a massive and impressive line-up including some A-list artists such as Depeche Mode, Gorillaz and The Killers.  It became clearly one of the most exciting rendez-vous festival in France. So, here are our three favorites moment of the week-end.

The Blaze

The mysterious electronic french band surprised us with an amazing visual set. Even if Depeche Mode was playing at the same moment, many people were just curious about The Blaze, this new electronic sensation who was months ago playing at Coachella. If their faces are still kind of secret, their videos are famous, mainly for their esthetic and political messages. So this one hour live during the Lollapalooza confirmed us that the French touch is still hype.

Years & Years

Between Years & Years and us, there’s a long romance since we met them in 2015. At this moment, they were still « new » and nobody was expecting them to become as big as they are now. « We love festivals as it’s the moment where we met our musicians’ friends, like for example, we know the band of Dua Lipa so it’s cool bumping in each other here ». And their performance was gorgeous. To defend their latest record “Palo Santo”, they proposed us a visual set including dancers and short videos introducing their new era. Their live evolute as well as their music which became more mature and powerful. Mainly since Olly Alexander, the lead singer became one of the major queer ambassadors of our generation.

Travis Scott

Do we need to resume how fucking cool was the Travis Scott’ set? Maybe the only gig where the crowd was living the preformance and not being like zombies in front of the main stage. Travis turned up the Lollapalooza and proved that he’s one of the best rappers of the moment. His latest album “Astroworld” is already a classic if you did not hear it yet.
