London-based brand Lula Laora’s “Arcade” collection is blurring the line between game character and player, introducing how the virtual experience can be transferred into the real world.

Lula has developed three sets of looks that are an extension of three different game worlds revealed to the public during the brand’s presentation at London Fashion Week.  Every look is based on a fully developed gaming persona that has a story, set of skills, customizable looks, and characteristics. Just like at the start of every game, the designer offers you to choose warrior attire for your real life.

Graceful white and gray looks rooted in alien and fantasy inspirations drawn from elves at “Lord of the Rings”, or Princess Padme at “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace”. They combine vulnerability and strength – cut-out body-suit gently attached to a puffy long skirt, flowing extra long bell sleeves as an extension to the fitted corset and wing-shaped skirt, puffer jacket with spikes on sleeves, and leaf-shaped tail hemline.

Lula’s favorite warrior character look belongs to a playful and girly world inspired by her favorite anime “Sailor Moon” and games “Mortal Kombat” and “Dead or Alive 3”. Flirtatious pink signature catsuits are combined with corsets and aggressive elements – gauntlets and masks with metallic spikes and flails attached to braids that can be in action any minute. A stand-alone character look and another signature piece of the brand is an extra long pink quilted puffer coat turned into a dress with puff sleeves and extra length at the hemline creating a dramatic silhouette.

The last world atmosphere and looks are inspired by the dark and biomechanical art of Swiss Artist H.R. Giger,  as well as futuristic movie “The Matrix ” therefore looks of these characters reflect nightmarish and cyberpunk moods. Catsuits combined with black corsets and shark fin-shaped bracers on arms and legs for defense and attack if necessary. Dramatic extra-long corset dress with high neck, cut-out breasts, and massive Victorian-style underskirt. Lula Laora’s designs are a playful mixture of fantasy and fetish allowing one to bring virtual gaming fantasies and desires into real life.
