Little Simz shared her new single “Young,” the third single from her anticipated sixth album, Lotus.
This track sees Simz explore a character, letting her voice rise on light intonations, carried by a bass that transports the listener into a separate universe. In addition to the candid introspection and blazing honesty that permeate the album, Lotus also exhibits a humorous and bold side, which is aptly captured by the punk vigor of the “Young” video directed by Dave Meyers. With “Young,” she reveals herself in a new light, once again affirming the breadth of her artistry.
Lotus is slated for release on June 6th via AWAL Recordings. For Little Simz, the title “Lotus” embodies rebirth and evolution, reflecting her own artistic trajectory. The album explores the complex phases of life, blending introspection, boldness, and creativity.
