Since his first record Whisky in 1998, our favorite Swedish crooner Jay-Jay Johanson is still in the game. He released his 11th album Bury The Hatchet in September and recently came back with an EP to promote his new single Advice for my Younger Self. This project consists of 6 exclusive tracks which include an alternative version of his latest singles Paranoid and Bury The Hatchet and some great remixes by Timmy Timid. Listen to the EP here.

Here some words from Jay-Jay about this EP :

 Advice to My Younger Self

“I guess it my most private and intimate song on the album, and it’s the only track where I play all the instruments myself. looking back at my youth, wishing  I did a few things quite differently.”

Bury the Hatchet (alternate version)

“We tried this version in the studio, it was fun to change the song that was written in 6/8 beat into a steady 4/4, inspired by Frank Ocean and Drake, this version was a fun test that turned out really well.”

Paranoid (alternate version)

“Same here, a studio test, after the album version was finalized. more percussion, slower tempo, richer in many ways.”

Timmy Timid Remixes

”Awesome as always, taking my songs into a totally different universe, from daytime to nightlife.  The Advice… remix is probably the best remix I have ever heard anybody do to my songs, ever. and the Rainbow remix sounds more like The Knife than the Knife ever have sounded… genius !”
