“The more beautiful the sky, the more hopeless the neighborhood.”
This past fall our friends at Fucking Young launched their latest issue number 13 “Neighborhood”. While we may be seeing lots of angst from the suburbs to the street, we tend to overlook the community in favour of individualism. Can we not deny that we are a product of where we came from? This themes reappears in interviews from Jacquemus to Heron Preston. While rappers Tommy Cash and Kida Kudz have a cult following, they take us back to their old stomping ground furthering playing on the emotions and impressions of our own backyards.
This issue encompasses everything from the countryside to cityscapes that unites photographers, artists, musicians including Pairs Project collaborators Allan Hamitouche and Simon have contributed to the new issue featuring Dior Homme, Gucci, Fendi, Givenchy, Camper, Lanvin and Louis Vuitton alongside emerging labels The Pack, Muslim Brothers, Cottweiler, and many more. Other analog photographers that caught our eye include Daan Dam shot in Kreuzberg Berlin styled by Olive Duran and Stella Asia Consonni shot in Brixton London styled by Graham Cruz.
