Photographer Lorenzo Sodi goes backstage at Pucci Spring Summer 2024 collection “Very Vivara” by Camille Miceli presented at the iconic Palazzo Altemps in Rome, Italy, marking Miceli’s second collection for the house.
Top models and timeless icons including Christy Turlington, Eva Herzigová, Angelina Kendall, made up some of the big names to walk, along with Isabella Rossellini for the grand finale. “A new journey” is how Camille Miceli, Pucci’s Artistic Director, defines the Florentine House’s new direction. Focusing on a modern way of thinking, living, and moving, well beyond style, she has reinvented an ultra-contemporary way of dressing, deeply rooted in the history of the House of Pucci.
The collection sways between a hippie-inspired notion of unfettered, modern femininity and a sartorial register. There were silk dresses in the shape of scarves, inlaid gabardine city sets, micro shorts, miniskirts, asymmetric tops, longline dresses and skirts with deep slits, jumpsuits, tight t-shirts, bomber jackets, and oversize blazers. The designs were given a playful or elegant vibe with tassels, chain detailing, sequins, leather accents, and all-over embroidery. Pucci’s archives were honored in the show’s finale with a succession of hooded gowns and terry caftans with grand volumes.
