New-York based French singer Douglas Joyman just revealed his new EP “Nekuia” and if you like Lana Del Rey, you might love his sound.
To celebrate this release, Joyman dropped the poetic and cinematography music video of his track “Barbarella” which features actress Emmanuelle Seigner. Directed by Giovanna Gorassini in Venice, this video is about the beauty of a magical woman played by Seigner and in a press statement she explained the idea of filming ‘Barbarella”.
“Venice is woman, Venice is dream, it is the story of a man who sleeps and dreams of a magical woman who walks in a veiled atmosphere, like an illusion.
It is also a waking fantasy that makes realism mysterious and secret, a ballad in the imagination. Finally, it is a declaration of love to the Italian cinema through nostalgic reminiscences that I believe are necessary for the timeless creation.”
