Nicolas Di Felice delegated control of Courrèges SS26 Pre-Collection’s shoot to his community, allowing them to view each other’s unique interpretations.

Their raw “mirror” self-portraits, taken from the outskirts of the city’s attractions, allow the collection to enter everyday Parisian life. Suddenly, the frame is filled with far-off monuments, graffiti, trash, architecture, and fashion, all of which capture the balance between sophistication and realism that characterizes Courrèges. Each image, taken from the impromptu, angled viewpoints of a smartphone, replicates a scene of reality that has always linked Courrèges to the gritty, streetwise essence of its firmly Parisian heritage.

Silhouettes are enhanced by exaggerated volumes, simple sportswear, and elegant workwear, which convey a carefree, fluid sense of dressing. A new bag is included in the collection: the soft-shaped Strip bag. Its clever design conceals its contents beneath folded magnetic flaps that can also be worn open, and it has a clasp fastening. Glove-like boots and folded kitten heels peeking out of flared slacks bring back the carefree spirit of the 1960s. Transparent mint, powder pink, and bon-ton beige suggest a sunny collection suitable for daily living, while a light palette permeates the House’s signature tones.
