We headed over to Bucharest armed with a Fuji Film disposable camera for the second edition of Romanian Fashion Philosophy. With buzz around designers emerging from Eastern Europe, Romanian hasn’t quite played a loud role but a quiet one, keeping busy as the Eastern Europe manufacturing hub.

Over 40 designers and brands from USA, UK, Portugal, Spain, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Italy and Romania will presented their latest collections including guest the designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. The first day was dedicated to the young Romanian designers and their shows with lots of midriffs on display. The audience was just as colorful as the collections, not the aspirational streetwear, but the real thing. We haven’t loved matching couples since Justin and Brittany or Posh and Becks. There was definitely a distinct feel to the city and their sartorial take, which looking back was quite nice in a world where  fashion is looking more and more homogenous, you don’t know if you are in Stockholm or Milan. We were definitely in dancing the time warp and booking our tickets for Transylvania.
