At New York Fashion Week, Eckhaus Latta delivered a Spring/Summer 2026 collection that felt like a meditation on tension—between softness and severity, intimacy and distance captured by photographer Anna Ritsch.
The runway opened in deep black: sharp jackets, sheer slips, and lean trousers that whispered evening sophistication while keeping the brand’s raw, experimental spirit intact. Small interventions—zip seams, sudden cut-outs, unexpected openings—hinted at vulnerability and flirtation, pushing classic tailoring into stranger territory.
Then came lightness: chalky pastels, airy chiffons, and voluminous sleeves that shifted the mood from nocturnal to daybreak. The movement of fabrics, sometimes trailing, sometimes dissolving into transparency, kept the show in a delicate balance between structure and abandon. What stood out most this season wasn’t shock value but refinement. Eckhaus Latta seems to be honing its language, distilling its restless energy into clothes that feel both wearable and charged with meaning. It’s a collection that proves subtlety can be just as daring as spectacle.
