A quote attributed to Coco Chanel echoes through her head as she wipes dark eyeshadow from her face, takes off a gold bangle, samples Katherine’s perfume, mounts a taupe powder-coated treadmill: “Dress shabbily, they notice the dress; dress impeccably, they notice the woman.” – Natasha Stagg

This season, ALL–IN Collection Nº5 “Uptown Girl”, made the journey all the way to the 40th level of the Tour Montparnasse during Paris Fashion Week. Founded by Benjamin Barron and Bror August Vestbø, the multidisciplinary design studio focuses on recycling existing items. They collaborated with GUESS U.S.A. to rework pieces from their archive for the collection and Photographer Thomas Lizzi goes backstage capturing distressed denim, pearls, silk blouses, scarves, and everything that we wanted to grow up and wear.

Styled by Lotta Volkova,”Uptown Girl” tells the story of a working woman from Staten Island impersonating an Upper East Sider and tracks her attempts and failures at working her way to the top. Inspired in part by Mike Nichols’ Working Girl and other New York characters including Roberta from Desperately Seeking Susan and Carrie Bradshaw.
